This past week I have been working with Jolie & Jade, a shop in SoHo. The needs of the business were: space planning, organizing inventory, and visual display & merchandising.
Step 1: Assess the Business
I went to the shop to assess the shop since it is in a space with other vendors.
Then I jotted down what fixtures are owned.
Looked over the inventory.
Took photos.
Drew a space plan that included information about future needs, expected inventory, etc.
Step 2: Implement Plan
I went back to Jolie & Jade days later to go over the visual display & merchandising plan with the owner and make any changes as needed. The space plan included placing fixtures, mannequins, and inventory to reflect traffic flow, highlight newest merchandise, invite customers into the space, and make it comfortable and easy for them to shop.
Step 3: Inventory Organization
Lastly, I figured out what would be the best way for Jolie & Jade to store their inventory. Organization items were needed so I made a list that worked with the budget I was given.
I will complete the organization and re-merchandising of the shop before THE EVENT on October 8th & 9th!
Come by so we can meet! And follow me @orgbycato for Before & After photos of the Jolie & Jade shop.
