Pre-Holiday Prep: Guest Room Organization

ree

8 steps to prepare your guest room!

  1. Declutter - Remove unnecessary items and clear surfaces to create a welcoming, organized environment.

  2. Clean Thoroughly - Windows, floors, furniture, light fixtures and lamps, and under the bed. If it is a room that does not get used often, clean baseboards, corners, and walls from dust and cobwebs.

  3. It's in the Details - Does the floor or door squeak somewhere? Are the outlets working? Is there anything in the bedroom that needs fixing? Test lights, Wi-Fi, and ensure everything works. Adjust the room temperature for comfort.

  4. Fresh Linens - Change the bedsheets, pillowcases, and provide extra blankets and pillows. Perhaps have bed sheets that are Holiday themed!

  5. Stock Up on the Essentials - Add towels, toiletries, and bottled water or water carafe with glassware.

  6. Create More Storage - Clear out night table, night table drawers, dresser drawers, and closet space for guest's belongings.

  7. Add Comfort - Bedside lamps, charging station, a comfortable chair, a reading nook, or something your particular guest would appreciate and feel like they're home.

  8. Personalize the Room - Add a welcome note, fresh flowers, small snacks, or anything your particular guest likes.
